Sky Insight's Astro-Imaging Survey 2006 Sweepstakes Official Rules

  1. No Purchase Necessary. The official start date for the Astro-Imaging Survey
    Sweepstakes is Sept 1, 2006 00:00 UT. Professional Insight/Sky Insight employees 
    and employees of the participating sponsors are not eligible to participate.
  2. Sweepstakes Entry. To enter, go to http://www.skyinsight.net/survey/imagingsurvey2006.php
    and fill out the Sky Insight Astro-Imaging Survey and hit the Submit Survey button. 
    The Sky Insight Astro-Imaging Survey must be filled out completely to be eligible. 
    Incomplete, inaccurate or defaced survey forms are void. One entry per 
    household. Upon completing the survey a sweepstakes entry form will be presented. 
    The sweepstakes entry form must be filled out with a valid e-mail address to be eligible.
    The official ending date for the Astro-Imaing Survey Sweepstakes is October 31, 2006 
    23:59 UT, and all entries must be transmitted no later than that date and time.
  3. Prizes and Odds of Winning. One drawing will be held on or about November 16, 2006, 
    for the following awards, randomly selected in the following order: 
    1. One name for the ebook: A Guide to Astrophotography with DSLR Cameras from Astropix LLC.;
    2. Two names, each will receive a copy of Nebulosity from Stark Labs;
    3. One name for a copy of TheSky6 Serious Astronomers Edition from Software Bisque;
    4. Four names, each receiving a copy of The New CCD Astronomy from New Astronomy Press;
    5. One name for a Radial Guider from Celestron;
    6. Five names, each will receive an OPT 1.25" Dual F/5 & F/3 Focal Reducer from 
      Oceanside Photo and Telescope;
    7. Two names, each receiving a copy of The NewAstro Zone System for Astro Imaging 
      from New Astronomy Press;
    8. One name for a copy of TheSky6 Professional from Software Bisque
    9. One name for a DeepSkyImager (one-shot color) or DeepSkyImager Pro with Filters 
      (winner's choice) from Meade;
    10. One name for a StarShoot Deep Space CCD Color Imager and Orion Baseball Cap from 
      Orion Telescopes and Binoculars;
    11. One name for a Canon Digital Rebel XT from Canon Inc;
    Cash equivalents of merchandise will not be awarded. Substituting prizes is not allowed. 
    Any applicable federal, state and/or local taxes are the responsibility of the winner. 
    Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. 
  4. Validation and Acceptance. Winners in the Astro-Imaging Sweepstakes will be selected 
    in a random drawing conducted by an independent organization whose decisions 
    are final. By entering the sweepstakes, participants agree to be bound by these official 
    rules and all decisions of the judging organization. Sweepstakes entries void if not 
    legible, not completed in full, late or tampered with. No responsibility is assumed 
    for lost, stolen, misdirected or late entries or notifications. All sweepstakes entries 
    become the property of the Professional Insight/Sky Insight.
  5. The winner will be notified via e-mail shortly after November 16, 2006. Winners will 
    have 10 days to respond to the winning notification and provide a mailing address. 
    If a winner fails to respond within 10 days of notification, the winner will forfeit 
    the prize and a new winner will be selected. The process will be repeated until all 
    prizes have been awarded.  Winners names will be published on skyinsight.net.
  6. Sky Insight and it's sponsors shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage,
    cost or expense arising directly or indirectly, in connection with the contest and
    the prize awarded.
  7. Sky Insight and it's sponsors reserve the right to exclude international destinations 
    due to export regulations and/or other business determinations.
